--Scott Hudson, (filling in for Schiavone) and Bobby Heenan discussed what was going to happen tonight, including Sid-Hogan and the match for the presidency matching Sting against Ric Flair.

--Sid Vicious comes down to the ring. He gets the most heat from the crowd that I have heard for Sid, during his brief tenure in WCW. He still does need some music though. It takes Sid awhile to speak, due to the large amount of jeers from this raucous crowd. Sid says that he can tell the crowd feels the same anticipation that he does. Eudy informs Hogan that he has something of his. Sid encourages the fans to chant for Hogan. "Hogan" chants. Vicious says that tonight on Nitro, Hogan will stand in the ring and praise Sid by saying "he is the ruler" and "he is the master of the world". So, it appears we have Sid-Hogan for the World Title later in the evening.

--Fit Finlay vs. Jerry Flynn

-Respectable match, considering the status of these two competitiors. Decent amount of heat from the crowd for the Belfast Brawler. Jimmy Hart is shown standing outisde the arena, holding Finlay's hardcore trophy.Hart says he can get it back at Road Wild in August. Before the match commences, Finlay argues with a fan at ringside. --Lodi and Lenny Lane are in the back talking to J.J Dillion. Dillion tells him they need to sign there contract in a certain way, seeing as how they are brothers. Lane tells Lodi he always has his back. Lane asks Dillion for a raise. I guess they aren't gay??

--"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Hollywood Hogan. Before Hogan comes out, Okerlund says it is nice to be back in Rockford, and he says he has been coming there for thirty years. Hogan comes to the ring to a very large crowd reaction. Wow, this paying audience is going bonkers over Hollywood. Hogan says he is running wild and he was reborn when he beat Savage last week on Nitro. Hogan says he wasn't sure if he should come back, but when he heard the reaction from the crowd, he knew it was time to come back. Hollywood tells Okerlund that Sid will be calling him the greatest in the world of professional wrestling. Hogan says he has his mind and soul set on Sturgis, because Nash has a chip on his shoulder, and after he beats Sid he will focus on Nash completely. Hogan closes the interview by saying that if you are with Hollywood, you are with him "for life".
